Leonard Cohen’s masterful, enduring and poignant song Hallelujah has also been recorded by John Cale, Jeff Buckley, Bono, Rufus Wainwright, Kathryn Williams, K.D. Lang, Willie Nelson, Aled Jones, Michael McDonald, KatherineJenkinsand a multitude of other artists. 

This classic song was recorded by 2008's X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, and was the 2008 Christmas number one, with the Jeff Buckley version making it to number two! Havingdefeated JLSin the X Factor finals, Alexandra won a million-pound recording contract and the immediate release of this version of Leonard Cohen's classic.
